If you're spending money on listening equipment (even headphones and a mobile DAC) it really makes a difference to listen to 16bit, CD quality audio. But Apple music as an Android user is painful with their low quality app. If I were an iPhone user I would only have Apple Music because it offers FLAC audio (ALAC I know) and Atmos music, even more Atmos music than Tidal. I even sometimes prefer the Atmos tracks played back through cars' Bluetooth connections. ![]() I also have a Dolby Atmos setup and enjoy listening to Dolby Atmos music through Tidal on my theater setup. I use for Qobuz for its offline storage, when I'm travelling but my phone has 512gb of storage so I'm not pressed keeping 80gb of 24bit audio offline. I Like Qobuz because you can buy music and it will integrate with their streaming interface. In terms of artist compensation Tidal is the best with direct compensation. I prefer Tidals curation and recommendations. ![]() I prefer 24bit FLAC over MQA and it makes an audible difference between my few listening devices, and definitely on my primary stereo so I'm stuck with Qobuz. Spotify's audio quality (its bitrate) is like a potato compared to CD quality audio offered by Tidal, Qobuz, Apple, and Amazon.
